At the Roots, Reaching for the Sky chronicles nearly 40 years of my experience working with families and children in neighborhoods in the city of St. Louis, MO. Through my work, I was able to meet, get to know and love African American residents of the community. Together, we were able to overcome differences of race and class and build a peaceful community where everyone's background and experiences made our accomplishments all the better.
Minu Rootsi. Sunnitusvaludeta uhiskond?

Olen Rootsis elanud seitse aastat, alguses opilasena, hiljem lapsehoidjana, praegu ammaemanda ja emana. Tunneme end perega siin hasti, peame oma kodumaaks tervet Euroopa Liitu ning Stockholmgi on sisuliselt Tallinna naaberlinn.Rootsi on maailma parim riik, selles on enamik kohalikke kindlalt veendunud.

Imelik telefonikone 57 aastat hiljem avab voimatuid uksi. Autor jargib omal viisil Anton Hansen Tammsaare ja Maimu Bergi paika seatud eesti traditsiooni. Romaani kohta voikski oelda, et see on kolme autori palgeline pimeda armastuse triloogia.
