En 2013, a los 93 anos, se enterraba en Washington a Edmund D. Pellegrino, y quiza con el toda una era de la medicina. Desaparecia uno de los mas grandes maestros de la etica medica; y sin duda el profesor de medicina mas inquieto frente al deterioro moral progresivo de la practica medica de su pais, y por extension de otras partes del mundo. En horas en las que se reclama la vuelta a un humanismo profesional, la competencia y la calidad del acto medico no son suficientes, la sociedad exige la dimension humana del profesional y su perfil de «buena persona», algo que es imposible sin las «virtudes medicas». No solo deben mejorar las estructuras sanitarias de cualquier pais, es tambien el medico el que debe reflexionar y fortalecer el «bien del enfermo» por encima de todo, incluso frente a sus propios intereses. Y afrontar individual y corporativamente las presiones de todo tipo que pongan en riesgo este principio esencial de la profesion. Manuel de Santiago (1938) doctor en medicina, fue profesor de Medicina y Bioetica en la Universidad Autonoma y de Bioetica y Bioderecho en la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, ambas de Madrid, y presidente de la comision deontologica del Colegio Oficial de Medicos de Madrid. En la actualidad es presidente honorario de la Asociacion Espanola de Bioetica y Etica medica (AEBI). As part of the dynamics of international economic cooperation by the need for mutual settlement operations, so the problem of organization of settlements is an important place for the economically active subjects, especially in a globalized economic space in the functioning of transnational structures and scale of the export, import and international financial transactions. In agreeing on the order of calculations, the participants determined the form of payment in order to fulfill the financial obligations of the agreement – regulated by means of voluntary compliance through a credit institution liabilities, characterized by specific features on the order of transfer of funds to the account, a certain kind of settlement document, as well as office procedures. The source of payment relations is the need to have one contractor expressed in the appropriate disposition, the other in shortage. This relationship gives rise as a consequence of the relationship with the lending institution. Need to accession will intensify in the subjects of international payment relationship.
