Dan wanneer die Tzuk Eitan-grondoffensief afgekondig word, word Marc saam met 40 000 ander reserviste na die Gasa-grens gestuur. Na 'n baie moeilike jaar sien beide Rivkah en Marc uiteindelik uit na hul “geskenkweek” in Parys, waarheen Marc vir 'n simposium genooi word.
