“Throughout the ages, man has fought and struggled to free himself from one kind of serfdom or another. The history of man to emancipate himself from slavery by man is well known. It is the story of Europe after the French Revolution, of England after 1215, of South Africa after 1833, of Russia after 1917, of India, Egypt and Indonesia today.” When a group of young political activists met in 1944 to launch the African National Congress Youth League, it included the nucleus of a remarkable generation of leaders: Nelson Mandela, Oliver Tambo, Walter Sisulu, Ellen Kuzwayo and A. P. Mda. It was Anton Lembede, however, whom they chose as their first president. Lembede was known for his sharp intellect, fiery personality and unwavering commitment to the struggle at hand. The son of farm labourers, Lembede had worked tirelessly to put himself through school and then to qualify as a lawyer. His untimely death in 1947, at the age of 33, sent a wave of grief through the Congress Youth, who had looked to him for moral as well as political leadership. «Freedom In Our Lifetime», acknowledges Lembede’s early contribution to the freedom movement, in particular his passionate and eloquent articulation of the African-centred philosophy he called “Africanism.”

Existentialism proclaims the idea of a man present, performing a search for meaning, making choices, self-determining in its relation to reality, possessing an active subjective entity. In the process of economic activity a person is faced with the action of their own will influence other areas of the will of the active agents. He needs arise that require his satisfaction, he is involved in the economic cycle, some of which sectors are investigated in this study, namely: entrepreneurship, as a consequence of the implementation of a new combination of natural factors, business risk as a source of entrepreneurial profit and a catalyst for economic activity, business as routine economic activities aimed at developing the existing building, international business, as economic activity is possible at a potential that is created by public constraints, international payments, as the movement of financial resources for a business, writ proceedings, as inevitable, the procedure of execution of mutual obligations with the participation of the public entity, collateral relations, as security relationships that create a safety buffer for the counterparty.

"The Power of Freedom" describes a gripping journey through the history of Central and Eastern Europe, mapping the anticommunist resistance and the changes of 1989. It offers a detailed analysis of alternative models of post-communist transition and successful integration of Central and Eastern European countries into the Euro–Atlantic structures. It is a book about courage and solidarity. It is also a book about freedom and democracy winning over fear and oppression.

The book draws upon linguistic, psychological, philosophical, and sociolinguistic principles and uses practical examples from second, foreign, and mother tongue teaching. It attempts to integrate theoretical and empirical work with the practical needs of institutions and of teachers without losing sight of learners' needs for free personal choice combined with effective communication.
