Ulrich Friedrich Willy Joachim von Ribbentrop wurde in Preu?isch Wesel geboren. Allerdings trug er den edlen Namen nicht von Kindheit an.Bereits als Erwachsener wurde er von seiner eigenen Tante adoptiert.Dieses Ereignis erlaubte es auch dem eitlen Ribbentrop, dem Familiennamen die Figur des Adels in Form eines «Hintergrunds» anzuhangen.
