With an artistic love of freedom, Felix Reuter has taken up central motifs of the Beethoven Sonata Pathetique, «distilled» the work sensitively and allowed his own stylistic colours to flow in a very organic way. They make the artistic essence shine anew as a personal reading – more peaceful and less stirring than the original work, yet with great expressiveness.
In the third movement, Felix Reuter manages, with small changes, to create skilful jazz harmonies and to make something completely different out of the work. The musical theme is transformed into a wonderfully slow blues.
In this edition the piano sheet music of third movement are included. Movements 1 and 2 are also available as sheet music editions.

Mit kunstlerischer Freiheitsliebe hat Felix Reuter zentrale Motive der Beethoven-Sonate Pathetique aufgegriffen, das Werk gefuhlvoll „destilliert“ und auf ganz organische Weise eigene Stilfarben hineinflie?en lassen. Sie bringen die kunstlerische Essenz als eine personliche Lesart neu zum Strahlen – friedvoller und weniger aufwuhlend als das ursprungliche Werk, und doch mit gro?er Ausdruckskraft.
Im dritten Satz schafft es Felix Reuter mit kleinen Veranderungen, geschickte Jazzharmonien entstehen zu lassen und aus dem Werk etwas ganz anderes zu machen. Das musikalische Thema verwandelt sich einen herrlich langsamen Blues.
In dieser Ausgabe sind die Klaviernoten zum dritten Satz enthalten. Satz 1 und 2 sind ebenfalls als Notenausgaben erhaltlich.
