La ruta de las sierras es la primera parte de una trilogia de viajes y aprendizajes. La protagonista, Luna, logra salir de su zona de confort aun cuando sus afectos intentan retenerla. Quizas en el momento preciso en que todo se asemeja a la perfeccion, emprende una nueva aventura sin certezas de objetivos, sin prever que toda busqueda, indefectiblemente, conduce a algo. Durante distintos momentos del viaje surgen nuevas amistades e interrogantes: Antonella, Luzie, Hernan, Santiago, Carlos y Hector completan la historia de una joven bonaerense quien posteriormente encontrara el sentido de su travesia en el curso de una investigacion acerca de una persona desaparecida. Las pistas de algunos libros de Bibliotecas Municipales la conducen a una figura siniestra, encargada de firmarlos luego de utilizarlos, como si fuesen parte de un informe oficial que se completaba en etapas a medida en que retornaban los ejemplares consultados. Con el objetivo en marcha, el rumbo Norte ya cierto, la protagonista avanza y se (re)encuentra alternadamente con amistades, quienes tambien han ido creciendo y recorriendo sus propios caminos de aprendizaje.
