El actual modelo forestal instaurado desde comienzos de la dictadura, cuyas externalidades negativas en el ambito social y del medio ambiente vienen generando estragos en el sector forestal, ya no da para mas. Es por ello que la Agrupacion de Ingenieros Forestales por el Bosque Nativo (AIFBN) hacen aqui una propuesta para un nuevo modelo que permita enfrentar la perdida de biodiversidad, el avance de la desertificacion y los desafios que nos presenta el cambio climatico, bajo una racionalidad centrada en los habitantes, los territorios y el ecosistema. La Agrupacion de Ingenieros Forestales por el Bosque Nativo (AIFBN), con mucha conviccion y solidos argumentos, plantea que el debate en torno al cambio de paradigma del sector forestal es urgente y necesario frente a desafios complejos, como la adaptacion y mitigacion del cambio climatico, la preservacion del medio ambiente y el avance de la desertificacion. The World Health Organization defines health inequities as differences in health outcomes that are systematic, avoidable, and unjust; and the result of poor social policies, unfair economic arrangements, and bad politics. This volume describes the role that evaluations can play in addressing health inequities. A key focus is on the types of capacities that need to be built to evaluate inequities. Bringing alive these questions around evaluation capacities are theory and practice studies from China, Chile, and India.
