Ook zijn op basis van nieuwe inzichten functies nader omschreven en nieuwe functies gedefi nieerd.In dit rapport is een koppeling met het e-CF gelegd, het Europees competentieframework datook in Nederland steeds breder wordt geadopteerd. Het competentiemodel dat in het rapport van2001 is gepresenteerd (het Ngi-competentiemodel ), is daarvoor uitgebreid: de e-competentiereferenties(e-competences ) van het e-CF zijn toegevoegd. Vanwege het opgaan van Ngi in KNVI(zie hoofdstuk 2) heeft het model een nieuwe naam gekregen: het KNVI-competentiemodel .Het competentiemodel in dit rapport gaat verder dan alleen ICT-functies.
